Adviteeya Khujneri is a freelance Sydney-based production designer and art director working in the independent film industry in Australia. Their background lies In visual and mixed media arts - with photography and painting as their key art mediums.
Their work ranges across a range of stories, involving different skill sets and challenges to address. Their motto lies in engaging in all kinds of projects that they can bring something unique and powerful to in terms of their skills and vision.The projects included in this portfolio showcase their work as a key creative in the cinematic arts industry; departments they've headed - some solo, others with a team working under them.
WHY DESIGN?
Design is an act of accepting accidents.
When considering spaces, we have to make space for a meditation that combines dialogue with principles, and the inevitability of giving up control when an audience enters the same space, physically or emotionally. Spaces are in constant need of access to narrative. They're an embodiment of a collation of knowledges and a fundamental love for play.
These produce a kind of loyalty to attention to details that concern all aspects of telling the stories hidden in those spaces. Designing is collaborating with everyone involved, including viewers to feel intentional.
